Galloway's Kuta

Sean Galloway a lancé un petit concours sur son blog autour d'un de ses personnages, Kuta, qui va être réalisé en statuette. C'était surtout une super occasion de réaliser une illustration avec un des personnages de ce character designer de talent !

Sean Galloway has launched a contest on his blog around one of his character, Kuta, soon to be released as a vinyl toy. It was a great opportunity to do an illustration with a character from this talented character designer !

Si vous avez un Iphone (ou un ipod touch) et que vous avez l'application très stupide (mais très amusante) Wobble, vous pouvez la tester avec cette pinup, ça fonctionen plutôt pas mal ;)

En fait je ne sais pas trop à quoi ressemble vraiment cette image... elle est réalisée sur mon ordinateur portable avec un écran mal calibré... ça doit être trop sombre, non ?

Je sais, je sais, celle-ci est très inspirée des illustrations de Luc Desmarchelier... mais après avoir visité son blog, je n'avais qu'une envie : essayer quekque chose dans le même genre !
Bref, allez voir son blog, ce type est bourré de talent...

I know, I know, this one is very inspired from Luc Desmarchelier's illustrations... but after having visited his blog I had only one in mind : try something like that !

Pour fêter les 10 ans des éditions Bamboo, la plupart des auteurs ont offert au big boss une planche de leur série le mettant en scène. Voici la mienne.

The only one...

Voici quelques images du livre que je ne publierai finalement pas.
J'avais prévu d'autopublier ce petit livre via un site (pas Lulu.com, un autre du même genre) mais la maquette que j'ai reçu n'est pas ce que j'attendais. Papier trop fin et mal collé, couleurs soit trop contrastée soit pas assez... Bref cet exemplaire restera unique le temps que je trouve un autre moyen de faire une petite édition de meilleure qualité.

Here are some images from the book I finally won't publish.
I had in mind to selfpublish this little book through a website (not Lulu.com but quite the same) but the test copy I received is not what I expected. The paper is too thin and colors are sometimes too contrasted, sometimes not enough... So this copy will be the only one until I find another way to produce a small edition with a better quality.
